Champions League semi-final pairings determined
The semi-final pairs have already been determined, they are Arsenal (England) - Paris Saint-Germain (France) and Barcelona (Spain) - Inter (Italy).
While Real tried to create a semblance of intrigue in Madrid, the tension was electric from the first minute in Milan, and Inter pressed their opponents harshly. Bayern fought for overtime, the teams made a total of thirty-five shots, but in the end the score on the scoreboard remained 2:2. It was an equal match between two giants of the current season, the intrigue remained until the very end, but based on the sum of the two matches, it was the Italians who advanced to the semi-final race. Against a defensively strong Italian team, the Bavarians needed to use their chances more effectively than in the last matches, in which they did not realize their numerous opportunities to score a sufficient number of goals, but luck was still on Inter's side. Following the two-round confrontation (3:4), the Munich team left the tournament.
The tension was just sparkling at Milan's San Siro. But Inter's path began with criticism of the main squad, concerns about the defense, and one and a half panicked tweets after the defeat in January to Salernitana, and in the end everyone started talking about the Italians as the main contenders for the championship, and began to guess whether anyone would stop the wards of the ambitious Simone Inzaghi. In the first half, the teams looked at each other, and in the second, real attacking football began, forcing the stands to freeze. In the 52nd minute, Harry Kane scored. England's top scorer once led the United Kingdom team to second place at Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, has many other high-profile achievements, and continues to open the gates of Inter's opponents with enviable regularity. Federico found Lautaro Martinez's head, and he sent the ball into the net with the precision of a surgeon. 1:1, and a minute later Pavard successfully intercepted the rebound, and the scoreboard lit up 2:1. In the 76th minute, Eric Dier, the only person in the world who is given a chance in the England team regardless of form, equalized the score. 2:2, and Italy continued to roll up such an avalanche of attacks on the Bavarians that the visitors were forced to go into deep defense and sit there, praying that they would not score again.
